Makeup haul and reviews

Yes i sinned. I got some new beauty products and wanna share my thoughts on them. :D HOpe this helps:D

All Calvin Klein products. Got them for a total of $20 from TJ-Maxx Freaking amazing deal ever
From the left:
1- 303 Sun Bathe summer afair bronzing powder
This is a good bronzer for Asian especially those have yellow under tone (like me :D.) Good pigmentation, buildable color. The only con is that it comes with a poor quality brush that im not very excited about.
2- 208 Sunset fully delicious sheer plumping lip gloss: too sheer!! The color turns out to be a light rosy pink when applied. VERY STICKY and wear off quickly :|
3- 126 Tender Rose cream lipstick: has a beautiful rosy color and matte finish. Can tone up for a bold lip-look or tone down to a lip-stain kind of look. Stay put for a few hours (without eating or drinking.) Im pretty happy with this lipstick
4- 108 hush flush with desire-velvet blush: beautiful color. Good pigmentation but barely show up on my skin color T.T but i think it works wonder on fair skin tone

Loreal cream shadow paint in Nervy and Steely: BOth of them were on sale 75% off in CVS quite a while ago so I got them all for a very cheap price. They are extremely pigmented, you only need a tiny amount of them for both eyes it will last all day. They come with their paint on brushes but the brush quality is crapy as always. I personally think it can be apply best just by your finger but the product dries and sets very quickly on your eyes so you will have to apply it as quickly as you can ... still a good buy though.

From the left:
1- Maybelline Mineral power blush in Original Rose: (got it for 50% off in CVS) This really suprise me. One of my holy grail products. Love the color love how it show up on my skin just by 1 swatch LOve Love love it.
2- Rimmel blush mousse in 002 peach Ice Tea: Crease like hell. Poor pigmentation. Too much shimmery. I once used it as a highlight on my cheek and it made my face look so oily even though I have extremely dry skin >.< Got it for a very cheap price (it was on sale 75% off in CVS as you can see in the pic) but still I think it's such a waste of money. Vey dissapointed.
3- Another Rimmel blush in 001 Santa Rose: Good pigmentation. Nice color but it just doesnt work for my asian skin tone I had to apply several times in order to have it show up. im not so crazy about it.

From the left:
1- Rimmel lipstick in 028 Celeb: (75% off CVS) One of my favorite pink lip color. Perfect for Spring. Very pigmented, the color stay on vibrant within one coat apply. It really moisturizes your lips, yet wears off easily
2- Lady Gaga for Mac: I'm a big fan of Lady Gaga I didnt even think when buying this lipstick :)) lol :) Love the color, it looks beautiful on any skin tone yet its def not something you wanna wear on a daily basis. It stays on a lil longer than the Rimmel lipstick

panasonic Eye lash curler: Amazing curler, curl my lashes fairly well. This and the Fiber Wig mascara works together gives my lashes a false- lashes effect. I got it for $12 shipping included from JR.com. My lashes look extremely long and healthy after using this 2 products together. The fiber in the mascara actually lengthen my lashes and hold the curl all day. Also it doesn't flaky. Once I went watching Dear John with my friends, I was crying like crazy, and after I got home my mascara still there beautifully. NO FLAKE, Seriously. I got it for also $12 from kawiwi shop on ebay, and I love it. It's absolutely the best mascara I've ever tried. Cons: The lash curler eat up the battery VERY QUICK. Prepare yourself some packs of AA battery of buy a rechargeable one! The Mascara can make your lashes clumpy if you don't apply it carefully. When it comes to applying it takes much longer time than than putting on a normal mascara, if you wanna get the desire false lashes look effect.

Sonia Kashuk eyeliner and mascara duo. Very pretty and unique looking. It's definitely something you wanna put into your traveling bag because. The mascara is okay. It does it job of a mascara, but doesn't really lengthen or give my lashes volume like the Fiberwig does. The eyeliner wear off quickly and will smudge like hell after 1 or 2 hour. I got it for $3 at Target, still a good buy but I will not repurchase it again.

Lack of internet signals these days :(

Believe that or not, it's true. I think it's because of me living in the basement and the freezing weather that has been cut off my internet lately. All the problem was from the rounder in my landlord's room, which unfortunately got shutdown somehow, and my landlord was not there to turn it on. 5 days living without internet, yes, it was not fun at all. It literally drove me crazy i tell you. I felt like living in stone age. I'm so glad that finally I have that problem fixed now and everything goes back to it normal state. So, I'm blogging again! How excited I am. And as always, there are just some random goodies that I bought during the "stone age" living period.

I sent my sister some of my makeup. It were only a few things but I felt like I needed to build it up a little bit to cover up the missing ones. So...

One the left side is the Too Faced eye liner transformer. When you open it up you'll see it looks absolutely like any liquid liner, but instead of dark color this one has transparent gel. All you do is dip that tip into the dark eye shadow to transform that eye shadow color into a line. Sounds cool but it actually was very crappy and doesn't work that well. The reason why I got it was because it came in a pack with the two single eye shadows that you can see in the picture. All that three things cost me $20, which I thought was a good deal for Too Faced cosmetics so I got it without any reluctant. And the eye shadows are huge you can tell right. I was really happy with them. The one in the middle is "Cocoa Comet" and the other one is "Super Nova". Guys i thought they sound so cute. Like always Too faced cosmetics always has their products' names lovely which I love. Cocoa comet is a warm brown color and Super Nova is a pretty purple-ish dark shade. I love both of them and they are the one that worth the money. Anyway, I think I would probably use the eye liner transformer one as a sticky base to apply my glitters if I happen to use them some how in the future.

Oh I actually wore Super Nova the other day when going to my friend's birthday party. The color comes out really pretty but you hardly can tell any.

Those are all the makeup that i got. Here are some random picture of me wearing my new favorite trend coat that I recently got from Mango. Hehe

The yellow shoes are Marc Jacobs. I got them from a super sale for 40 bucks. And the original price was like $400 something. That was the craziest thing I have ever seen. I'm so blessed I got it.

This one I took when it started to snow. But there were no flash so you can't see. It was beautiful standing on top of Tysons Corners that night.

It wasn't snowing heavily so there was only a light layer of snow appeared on the ground this morning. Of course i took that chance to make my first Snow Angel =). Here is the result. Haha.

New pair of earrings and the angel-wing ring from Ebay arrived this morning. Like always they cost me 99cent each. See I'm a good bidder, hah.
I don't know why these little things always make me feel happy. Those are all tiny gifts I got for myself but I thought they were so special. Don't you ever feel so, when going back home and found there were package for you and you open it up there were some little cutie stuff? I do, hehe

The most expensive thing I got during my Winter break, probably is this baby. Guess what, it is a basic skinny black pants that I got from A/X. It was $62 after retailed from $100, not a really good deal but I didn't have anything from that brand before, so I bought it anyway. It fit me perfectly actually and I love love love it. Black skinny pants go with literally everything. And the weird thing was my weight dropped so much that I finally come to a point that my jean size becomes OR. I seriously need to gain some pounds or I will not have enough energy to study when my spring semester begins next week.

And the last thing I'm gonna show you is the one that I forced my boyfriend to buy it for me. It was a hilarious jumping heart from Papyrus. Here is the picture but you gotta see when it was jumping. i filmed a video of it for you guys. Here it is.

enjoy guys =)

I sinned again..

Lately I have been going shopping pretty frequently since all the crazy after Xmas sales are going on in the malls. I told myself to save money but didn't know why all the ads of super discount and boxing days still kept me in the mood of spending. So, I ended up getting a bunch of things and I thought I gotta share with you guys

I got some make up. First is the limited edition Stila charmed eye shadow palette. I got it from Nordstrom Racks in Potomac Mills quite a while ago for 9 bucks. That is completely crazy. I love its the colors and the packaging.

Along with that, I also got a gold blush from Shu Uemura ( it works amazingly as a single eye shadow as well) for 6 bucks (!!!). Isn't it crazyyy?? You must says that I'm lying but I'm not. I remember it was still on sell in Nordstrom for 22 bucks something. Hah.

I tried to look for some more products of Shu uemurae but that was the only left in the clearance section. Yet I found a lip balm from Philosophy for 7 bucks. That is so weird. This exactly lip balms is still on sale in Sephora for $12. Deal!

My skin is extremely dry and pale during the winter, so I badly need something to both moisturize and cover the imperfections on my face. I went to Macys, probably 2 days a go, to look for a foundation that does the job. I completely don't know anything about foundation because I never use that before, so I ended up with the Shiseido advanced hydro liquid compact with SPF15 in I20. The foundation came in a refilled compact, which meant I had to buy the case which is 10 more bucks, so the total was $42, which was insanely pricey. But there were no brands but Shiseido that I trusted in the line of moisturizing foundation, so I thought it should be a good investment. Here is the pic

And I got some sample as the bonus for spending a bunch of money on that foundation, which is the sun protection eye cream and 2 tiny Super corrective serum bags. I probably never use them, so I think I will send it to my mom or give it to somebody else.

Move on to clothes, I sadly didn't get a lot. One of them is a Limited brand sweater cardigan that I got from Tj-Maxx. It was $13, which is super cheap. You can never beat Tj-Maxx deal. I didn't like it very much when I first saw it, it was the girl who came with me forced me to buy it, but I like it a lot later on. Here is the pic of me wearing it a couple of days ago when hanging out with friends.

The other one, also my absolutely favorite, is the trend coat from Mango. OMG I love plaid i tell you. I have been dreaming about a plaid trend (dress-like) jacket long ago since i first had my eyes on the red plaid dress that Hilary Swank wore in the movie P/s I love you. Look how stunning it is

At the first time I went to the mall, I saw the coat but there was only the Small size one left. For Mango brand, XS is still a little bit big for me so there is no way that I'm gonna fit in a S size coat. I like it so much that was mad when I could not find my size, so the whole day I went around the mall and didn't get anything. After that about 3 days i went back to the mall with my boyfriend and just randomly walked into the store, tended to show him the coat that I liked so much. But surprisingly I found the coat with the XS one. Gods probably heard me crying. Lol. So here is me and the coat. It was quite pricy, but I thought $50 reduced from 100 something is not a bad deal for a Mango jacket. I love the pattern and I think it looks more pretty outside. I will try to take another pic that show the whole length next time, i'm just not in the mood of taking picture at this moment.

I almost forgot one more thing I got from a mall in Bethesda. Me and my bf was going to Dave and Buster and thought it was pretty close so we went there to have a look. And guess what, it was a dress from GUESS MARCIANO. Omg I have been to so many Guess store and I never saw Guess Marciano, I thought it was only on sell in Neiman Marcus. And the dress was insanely cheap too. $20 reduced from $120 or something. I'm so pleased with it.

Here is a few things left. Another 99cent pair of earrings from Ebay just arrived today. I'm not so happy about them since they look kind of cheap if you look at it closely. I probably will just wear them to go to work or so since the lighting in the restaurant is kind of dim and it will cover up a clear look into the earrings.\

And lately I have been using this moisturizer, which I got from my boyfriend.

Isn't it cute?? It works amazingly too. I tried so many kinds of moisturizer and all of them make my face oily after a few hours, yet this one does a good job on moisturizing my face, absorb completly into my skin and never grease. It is the brand Pure Milk. Does anybody know about that brand? I have been searching this brand on google yet I couldn't find it. I think it's from Japan since there is some Japanese character on the back of the bottle. I asked my boyfriend but he said that he got it a while ago in Texas. That is so strange.

Snowyyyyy

Everything was covered white when I woke up this morning. Snow!!! I've never seen that much snow before. (Really, we never had snow in Vietnam, and I've only been in U.S for 1 year. Last year it wasn't as snowy as this year.)I could not even get out of the house to go to work because of the snow >.< so I stayed at home till night and my bf came to pick me up for some late shopping. Luckily Marshall and Ross opened late for holiday shopping convenience, so we went there to look for some affordable Xmas gifts. And of course, we got some very good deals. But I'm not gonna tell you what I got now, cuz I know some my friends are reading this blog. Hah. I will unfold this secret after Xmas. I just got one thing for myself, and i thought it look so cuteee! Wanna see it? Here it is:

Heart tweezer, $3.99 Marshal

LOL

So, here is a quick photo of the make up that i wear today. I tried to draw a thick eye brow, since Michelle Pham (a famous Youtube guru) said that "fuller eye brows make you look younger." I'm only 20 but I felt I'm like mommy. anyway, is that too thick?? I kind of like this kind of eyebrow on me.

And another order on ebay arrived today. This is also a pair of earrings that I got for 99cent. Look how cute they are. Can't wait to wear them tomorrow.

Here is what I wore in the pic above: E-spirit Sweater, $9, Rafaella Petite Jacket $5 Marshall.

I forgot to take the picture of the whole body, but for those who wonder, on the bottom I was wearing Evisu goes Hollywood Jeans, $7 ( i know what you're thinking, lol)from a store in Pennsylvania, D-Square black boots $10

Another haul =)

Hi hi!!
It was snowing really bad outside I couldnt go out So I decided to share with you guys some cool stuff i got recently.

These are some new OPI nail polishes that I got from Ulta yesterday. They were having the special sale buy 2 get 1 free so of course I didn't miss the deal..

From the left: Do You Lilac It?, Tickle My France, and Espresso Your Style!

Aren't they adorable? I can't wait to try out the "nude" one. Nude color is so in this season. Every girl needs to have a nude nail polish color as well as a nude color pump like this in her wardrobe

as you all can notice that's Selena Gomez. Her white dress goes perfectly with the nude pumps.

Got this Philosophy bottle from NOrdstroms Rack a while ago. It smells truly like its name, Apple cider. I cant tell you how much i love it. I got that big fat bottle for only $9.99 and I if you get it from Sephora it will be twenty something. Amazing deal <3 Big thanks to NOrdstrom Rack!

The local CVS has the sale BOGO on all Revlon cosmetic, so I got 2 back eye liners there.

My MAC Technakohl eye liner ran out, so I thought this time I would give Revlon a try. I thought the liquid eye liner was okay, but the crayon one really impressed me. Look how similar it is to MAC Technakohl:

The color is truly black, very pigmented, stay on the eyes very well... I'm in love with this eye liner already can't belive I got it for less than 4 bucks

I also did some quick shopping for earrings on ebay over the weekend. This pair of earrings only costs $1.7 shipping included. LOL. Look how beautiful the color reflects in flash... idk it reminds me a lot of the chrismas tree =)
